Empowering the youth in their Quest for Genuine self - worth.

The youth are the builders of society, the ever present glimmer of hope of the nation - even at this time of crisis, or rather, especially during this time of crisis. We are given the privilege to make changes - changes geared towards the upliftment of the populace of the nation.

We are encouraged to take control of the growth of our country, and in turn we can enjoy the fruits of our fervent labor. It is in our knowledge though that together with this privilege comes responsibility. The first one doesn't come without the other. Now how is it? or how did it happen that such young minds are given these much heavy a load to carry? Added to the already challenging life we live everyday: the chores at home, the pressure of peers, homework's to tackle, books to browse, terror teachers. And so we ask, "How will we be able to handle such demanding responsibility?"

Even then, the society knows that we can do it. We have all the potentials within us and they can see it. We may not sense that right now but it is there. We may not believe it exists but it does. Just because you don't see the wind doesn't mean it doesn't exist. They also know that for us to be capable and competent of making change we must truly believe in ourselves. It is very important that we know we can do it. It is vital to understand how big a change we can make. We won't be very enthusiastic about doing anything if we have doubts of ourselves, of our abilities to become better than what we already are.

That is where youth empowerment comes in. We are given, again, so many privileges: good education, and the means to it. We are given the right to vote, our voice for whatever messages we want heard. We are given the right of the press and of speech. Our right to hear and be heard. These are only a few of the so many privileges we are offered. If and when we accept all of these and put them into good use, the society can rest and be able to say that they have nurtured the fires in us, our inner desires of doing everything according to our best efforts.

And when we have bloomed into competent makers of change they are still with us and continuing to guide us in our every step, coaxing us on when our hopes of improvement flicker, keeping the flames alive in us, with encouragement and praise. From that, we will know that our efforts are appreciated and will never be in vain. We will be able to witness the changes unfolding before us. We can say then, with conviction in our hearts, that we haven't failed their confidence and belief in us. They will forever be in support of us, the youth, because your success will be everbody's.
