☼ Climate Change ☼

“We sometimes emphasize the danger in a crisis without focusing on the opportunities that are there. We should feel a great sense of urgency because it is the most dangerous crisis we have ever faced, by far. But it also provides us with opportunities to do a lot of things we ought to be doing for other reasons anyway. And to solve this crisis we can develop a shared sense of moral purpose.” Al Gore

CLIMATE CHANGE...

“Is it on?! The gods probably turned the heater on or left the cooler on for too long!”

Remember those Greek Mythology movies, were people used to summon Poseidon the water attribute god to bring water to them and how about those Indian movies where they would do the rain dance to call up to the rain god and bring water to their farms. In our case, we can’t do that…if that were possible I am dead sure there would be a healthy business for dance schools all over the country! You would ask why in the world I speak of water. In climate change, water is one of the vital parts that are deeply affected by climate change. A good example would be the North Artic. Imagine, if that thing melts, not even Mt. Apo can save your precious self and your laptop from getting wet.

Oh-okay! oooh-okay! Enough of the scary stuff…Let’s analyze what we can do instead of pointing fingers. I assume all of you have heard facts like “did you know you can make a computer out of tin cans?! Blah! Blah!” but my question is, have all of you bothered to try it? And the probable truth would be a “NO” and yes, even I, which am why I speak of this now, for all of you to be aware of the reality of this problem. But I am expecting not just to be aware but to participate in helping with this crisis. So here’s the boiling point question, what can you do and can you get something out of it?

Let’s face it; during these changes in our environment most of its cause is in tagged with money to be frank or business to make it formal in the ears of the public. Yet, we still can talk business while saving our planet, *HUSH*. A lot here must be assuming of building a recycling plant or something. But that’s the things I had in mind in the first place. But what can we really do, so we’re short on money for funding, any bright ideas?! So that would leave us to our only option which is to go small scale, which is the reason why I’m bringing this matter to the mass. That if we can set our first order of business that is to be a responsible inhabitant of this place called earth, this crisis will be fixed in no time. And in terms with money?! Let me break it down for you, why in the first place our food suddenly went up in terms with price, which is the supply is low and why is the supply low? Because of sudden changes in the weather, why is that? Due to pollutions and other all sorts of actions that hurts our planet, and what does it has to do with our climate change again?! It cracks down our ozone layer and boom there goes everything. Domino effect in every wrong moves we do, now you do the math on what are the possibilities if this get worst, start by imagining losing our very own first line of protection which is the ozone layer.

This logic applies to all, if I would bring up every example that I can come up to, the Arctic would have already melted by the time I’m done. If this can be reversed or to be prevented at least, we can sleep again without even thinking how much galunggong would be after a month or any other such products or services.

Ice age is not so far from happening if that occurs. So if you’re genuinely concerned or just plain scared what are you going to do about it? It’s not rocket science for us not to understand and apply what we should be doing now, all it needed is us to be responsible and be consistent to what we are about to do, that is to save our planet from ourselves.
